This dry magnetic
separator is special designed for separating the ilmenite from the
diamond ore. It consists of hopper, high intensity magnetic drum, belt with
driving motor, distribution hopper.
The customer needs a machine which could
separate the ilmenite in the diamond concentrate from the jig separator. The
ilmenite is around 30 to 40 percent, and the size is around 10mm to 15mm. The
concentrate is already dried, which means a dry process would be better.
Because the main purpose is to separate
upgrading the diamond, in order to achieve a high separating result, we use one
high intensity magnet to concentrate the ilmenite and other magnetic minerals;
instead of using two magnet to get a high grade ilmenite concentrate.
The max feeding size of this magnetic
separator is 15mm, which means we could feed the ore directly without crushing
it. Because it’s a diamond ore, we could not crush it in case breaking the
diamond into small pieces.
The disadvantage of this machine is this
machine could not be connected with the jig separator, to form a auto
continuous processing flow. Because it’s a dry process, and the jig separator
is working under wet process.
